Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs - Newark and New Brunswick

The U.S. Small Business Administration is the primary funding partner for the SBDC network nationally. The SBA first funded NJSBDC in 1977. Today NJSBDC receives more than $2.4 million from SBA to underwrite free management consulting and affordable training services here in NJ.

The New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission has also invested annually in the NJSBDC network since 1984. The Commission has viewed the NJSBDC network as a way of extending their small business assistance services to the “field” and promoting existing state economic development programs to the small business sector.

NJSBDC benefits from both cash and in-kind contributions from the universities and colleges statewide who serve as host institutions for each Regional Center, as well as corporate and foundation donors, forming an annual budget of $5 million.


Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Additional funding is provided through the New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission and Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick.
